Acklin fans who continue to defend the signature challenge:Kevin Acklin wasted a lot of money, issued some big-talk press releases, and failed comprehensively. Which, if you think about it, is not necessarily a bad campaign strategy:
City voters traditionally elect the mayoral candidate who best embodies that record.
Acklin has some catchin' up to do.
