Dear Anonymous/And Boy:

Anonymous criticism, questioning and satire of public officials is one thing. Defamation is a different thing. If someone establishes a legitimate foundation for a defamation claim, identification of the speaker seems appropriate.

What's a po-po?

Po-po = police?

What would the police have to do with a judicial decision enabling a civil claimant to obtain information intended to identify the author of message board comments?

That makes less sense than simply figuring some goober couldn't spell poo-poo.

But it doesn't mean you aren't correct.
