How Are KBR And Blackwater Still In Business?

Staff Sgt. Ryan Maseth, a decorated Green Beret from Pittsburgh who volunteered to serve his country and wanted to take a shower, lost his life.

Politically hard-wired federal contractor KBR, which repeatedly gouged its country while performing the electrical work in the Baghdad barracks in which Sgt. Maseth's shower became an electrocution, has lost its bonus.

Believe it or not, KBR is probably surprised about the bonus.

You mean: "How are KBR and 'Xe Services' still in business"?

To add insult to injury, the Army awarded KBR a $2.3B LOGCAP IV task order for Iraq. The CTP task order is the first LOGCAP IV task order to be awarded in Iraq.

I guess it was a deal like..."We are going to give you a ZERO award fee equaling about $25M to satisfy Congress and those silly taxpayers. But in return we are going to give you a LOGCAP IV task order for $2.3B. I blogged about it this morning.

I would love to exchange links with you.
