It Might Be Safer For Citizens If InsolvenCity Stopped Calling These Losers Firefighters

If any progress concerning InsolvenCity's pension disaster is to occur during the next few days, it will occur without help from Joe King. The leader of the firefighters' union has another Nobel Peace Prize nomination to polish.

Anyone know whether this particular firefighter has enough juice to get his charges adjudicated by renowned justice-dispenser Ronald Costa?

My spouse and I were mulling a move from the City to a close-in suburb. One of the issues that we evaluated was that the suburb relied entirely on a volunteer fire fighting force.

After careful consideration, we both realized that we would both prefer that suburban volunteer fire fighters respond to any call at our home. I am sure that it is far easier to dismiss a volunteer fire fighter from his/her position than it is to remove a paid City fire fighter.

We also learned, that the composition of the volunteer, suburban fire department was largely professionals who lived in the community that they served, as opposed to many of the City fire fighters who seem to be completely uneducated, violent, dysfunctional, drug and alcohol-addicted and who who tend to congregate in homes outside of the communities that they serve.

The suburbs are looking better all the time!

Be careful. Arsonists like to join volunteer fire departments.

I checked the roster of names for the local volunteer fire department. There is no one with the last name of Zappala-Peck. We should be safe. http://www.wpxi.com/news/19379516/detail.html

Manning dismissed that case and I am shocked, shocked to see gambling, er no a comment like that.
