The people who pine for the good old days ('taking our country back') probably never walked in Cookie Gilchrist's shoes (number 34, right).

They probably aren't strong candidates to fill 'em, either.

    You should find the Sam Cook version of this song.

    It was played in the movie "Malcolm X" (Spike Lee) when Malcolm (Denzel Washington) was driving to the Harlem theater where he would subsequently be murdered in 1965.

    Inspirational.
