The Reverend Ricky Burgess has pulled ahead of Theresa Smith in the race to replace Jim Motznik in the Motznik Chair In Advanced Mayoral Fealty on Pittsburgh's city council (
see Propositions Board, far right column). This unexpected development derives not only from Rev. Burgess' curious performance with respect to the
amended revised amended and revised Act 47 "plan," but also from a hunch concerning Ms. Smith. Also surprising is the increasing prospect that Mr. Motznik's
sewer boots role as reflexive mayoral lapdog may not be filled next year.
I thought Smith was only there for the free parking???
ReplyDeleteI see the prospect of a greater future for Ms. Smith on council. (The Propositions Board shows the odds.)
ReplyDeleteA bit of optimism can be handy.
They all accept the free parking.
ReplyDeleteSo Theresa Smith only ran for council so she could park for free?
ReplyDeleteI do not understand the reference to free parking.
ReplyDeleteThose who do are welcome to carry on.
City Council members get to park for free next to the city-county building.
ReplyDeleteIt's covered in great detail over at matthexposed.
ReplyDeletethere is no real coverage of it...it's a perk and that's it.
ReplyDeleteI am familiar with the street-as-parking-lot accommodations for council members; I do not how that perk is relevant to discussion of Theresa Smith.
ReplyDeleteI will explain how it's relevant shortly on my blog.
ReplyDeleteconcil members pay for parking at grant st.
ReplyDeleteBurgess is the luke tool. Smith isn't all that crazy for Luke after his crew tried to have her lose to thier candidate.
